Annual Dinner 2007

The Circleville Fire Company held their Annual Dinner on April 21, 2007 at Kuhl's Highland House with 130 members and guests in attendance.  The Fire Company celebrated 60 years of service.
Highlight of the evening was the presentation of the "Firefighter of the Year" award to Christopher Bottomley.  Chris is one of our young firefighters who has devoted many hours responding to alarms, attending drills and training sessions and serving on many committees including co-chairing the Fire Prevention Committee.
 
The clean-up crew for E-102 took the award for the Annual Truck Inspection.  The crew consisted of 1st Lt. Tim Yanosh; Raymond Bedford; Michael Henderson; Past Chief Fred Theadore; Past Chief Daniel Yanosh Sr. and Kevin Holland. 
 
Past Chief Ken Yereance was presented with an award for 55 years of active service.  Ken has been a very vital part of the Fire Company for many years, servicing as a Chief, Commissioner, Captain of the Fire Police and other firematic positions with the Fire Company.  Ken also served over 20 years with the Orange County Fire Advisory Board.  In December of 2006, at the age of 93, Ken stood up his boots in the corner and decided to become a Life Member of the Circleville Fire Company.  Thank you Ken for your many years of hard work and dedication.
 
The Ladies Auxiliary presented the Fire Company with three new parade trumpets in honor of their 60th anniversary.
 
Past Chief Fred Theadore was presented with a Chief's ring by the Circleville Fire District for his year's of service.  Fred was Chief from 1980-1983 and then again served in the position 2005 and 2006.
 
The newest members to the "100 Alarm Club" are John "Dewey" Mitchell; James Sullivan and Mark Wulffert. 
 
Top Responder for 2006 was Past Chief Gary Vander Schaaf with 249 alarms out of 368.
